Pineapples nailart!!!

Because the festival season is very close and we see fancy prints and lots of colors everywhere, I wanted to express this not only in my clothing but also on my nails of course. A current trend which I really like is the pineapple-trend. We see it in accessories and clothing, so of course I needed them on my nails too!

I used a yellow polish from Sephora as a base. For the pineapple image I used my Konad image plate m29, which has a couple of tropical figures as you can see below. I filled the figure with two colors. For the lower part I used the brown color The Only Chance from Essence. For the top of the pineapple I used Hugo Moss from Catrice. Make sure that you do not mix up the colors when scraping the excess polish off, and stamp it on!
Too bad the pictures are out of focus. What do you think about the pineapple trend?

Touch of gold

This week I admit that I was not that creative with my nailart. I wanted to keep it simple and use a nice bright pink color as a basis. I also found some golden stickers which I normally use for scrapbooking and came up with this.

The pink color I used here is Status Symbol from Essie. And yes I know, the edges of my fingers are really dry.

Pastel gradiƫnt nailart

For this week I wanted to create a nice pastel gradient nailart. I always love gradient nailarts, because they are so beautiful and look like you have put a lot of effort in it, while in fact it is very easy to make if you know how to do it. Don't know how to make this?? Then keep on reading...

Close up

First I find it a lot more easy to gradient my nails when I first put on 2 coats of white (OPI Alpine snow). This is a good base and the colors will look much better. Then take any kind of sponge, I used a make-up appliance sponge with a flat surface. Than put a stripe of every color you want to use right next to each other like I did in the picture below.

For this look I used Chanel 551 Coco blue, Essie Mint candy apple and Essie We're in it together. Gently stamp the sponge on your nail and move it up and down a little bit as you stamp. This way the colors will blend together nicely. If the colors are not as bright as you wish, then let it dry for a minute and stamp on the colors again.

When the nail polish has just dried, apply a topcoat. When you do this immediately after the colors have dried but are still a bit sticky, they will blend in even more. After the top coat is all dry I thought it would be nice to add some glitter on top of it (Catrice Have an ice day). Don't forget to clean up the edges of your fingers. Good luck!

Do you like gradient nails? Have you ever tried it?

Neon nailart

Every once in a week I paint my nails and for this week I wanted to create something special and something that really catches your eye and with neon you cannot go wrong. The neon yellow is even brighter in real life than on this picture. I got my inspiration on Instagram (where you can follow me at miilou7 ).
Nailart of the week
My inspiration from instagram
Want to know how to make this? For this nailart I first applied two white coats from OPI alpine snow because the yellow color is not really pigmented. The yellow nailpolish I bought in a store in Rhodos, Greece. Then I applied a wide line of white again and then a thinner line of black. On top of this black stroke I painted a white zigzag line with a small brush. I dotted blue (H&M) and pink (Catrice meet me at coral island) dots next to the black line and also some pink dots on the black open spaces. And finally I dotted some really tiny dots on the pink ones and in the black open spaces.

I think I did a pretty good job in copying this bright nailart, what do you think?
